Feeling isolated? Stressed? More anxious than usual? You are not alone.
What is Mindset?
Mindset is a new opportunity for UF students to discuss isolation, stress, anxiety, and anything else that is important to you. Each Mindset group will consist of a maximum of 8 students and a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) facilitator, to help provide skills and techniques for mindfulness, wellness, and self-care.
Is this therapy?
No. Mindset simply provides a confidential, safe space for students to share their thoughts, feelings, and concerns. The topics discussed in each of the sessions will be driven by students. The LCSW facilitator supports the sessions by sharing self-care ideas, calming tips, and other techniques to encourage wellbeing.
What's the commitment?
There is no regular commitment to Mindset. Students are encouraged to sign up for a single session, try it out, and return as you wish. Mindset will be offered twice a week and each session is 60 minutes. Mindset groups will begin the week of March 8, 2021.
In-person, at UF Hillel, on Monday afternoons from 3-4pm, starting March 8,
Virtually, over Zoom, on Friday afternoons from 4-5pm, starting March 12.
