The University of Florida Hillel has helped me grow in a number of ways. This past fall semester, I had the opportunity to work as a development intern at UF Hillel. One of my favorite things about UF Hillel is being able to become involved in the traditional, the inspirational, and the activation aspects that this organization offers. In addition, my supervisors at UF Hillel, no matter how busy they are, have given me the guidance and support to reach my ambitions and goals.
Through a traditional perspective, I am so happy to be apart of a close-knit community that comes together for Shabbat. Shabbat creates a time for interns and other students to come together as a UF Hillel Gator family to explore the spirituality of Judaism. During Shabbat services, I have also had the opportunity to engage and manage the University of Florida Hillel social media accounts. Through our Snapchat account, I can accurately display Shabbat services and engage with our followers.
In an inspirational way, I have connected with Israel through my experience with Birthright Israel trip. Through this journey, I made strong lasting connections with not only students on the trip but also the IDF soldiers, who helped educate me through their eyes living in Israe
