Student Ambassadors
Welcome the incoming Jewish Gators to UF by serving as a
UF Hillel Student Ambassador
UF Hillel’s Student Ambassadors serve as representatives for UF Hillel, welcoming new students, creating a friendly and accepting environment for all. Ambassadors will host welcome events leading into the upcoming school year, give tours of the Hillel building and UF campus to prospective students, and engage in conversation about continued learning and community building opportunities within the Jewish community on campus.
Applicants should be willing to commit to being an active Student Ambassador within the UF Hillel community. This may include:
-
Attend 2 trainings during the Spring semester
-
Ambassador meetings 2 times each month at Hillel
-
Attend Shabbat services and/or dinner at least 1 time per month
-
Plan, execute and participate in multiple welcome events and open houses at the beginning of each semester
-
Get to know students one-on-one and help launch their Jewish community experience
We are also looking for Student Ambassadors to be here during the summer semesters, especially Summer B, but it is not mandatory for all ambassadors.
An ideal candidate is:
-
Passionate about Hillel, Jewish life on campus, and connecting with others
-
Creative and organized
-
Enjoy planning events and opportunities for communities to come together
-
Outgoing, personable, approachable
-
Able to represent the UF Jewish community in an enthusiastic, positive way
