Creating Calm in a Turbulent World: De-Escalation Training

There has been an unprecedented rise in antisemitism and related violence since October 7th. If you have ever felt uneasy tabling in Turlington or find yourself wondering what you would do if a conversation suddenly became hostile, this training by former FBI agents is for you.

Facilitated by our partners at Secure Communities Network, this training will teach participants how to defuse and prevent potentially violent situations rooted in antisemitism or anti-Zionism. Individuals are encouraged to use purposeful actions, verbal communications, and body language to calm a potentially dangerous situation, while keeping in mind that your safety and the safety of others is the highest priority.
