First-Year Fellowship at Hillel

The First-Year Fellowship is a transformative program for Jewish freshmen at the University of Florida and Santa Fe, designed to build meaningful connections, foster leadership, and strengthen ties to Jewish life. By participating in our First-Year Fellowship, students will form lifelong friendships and connect with the broader Jewish community on campus through:

  • Jewish Friend-Making: Create lasting connections with fellow Jewish students.

  • Community Engagement: Develop a strong sense of belonging within Hillel and the Jewish community.

  • Leadership Training: Equip participants with skills to take on leadership roles at UF.

  • Expand Social Circles: Build friendships that extend beyond familiar groups and communities.

Through a series of engaging sessions, leadership training, and community-building activities, the First-Year Fellowship empowers students to explore their Jewish identity, expand their social circles, and get involved in Hillel and other campus opportunities.

Applications for Fall 2027 will open in the Summer!
