About the Event
Upon arrival to the event (no prior preparation required) teams of 1-3 students will come up with a service or product that would benefit the people of Israel and/or promote peace in the region. Teams will have a set amount of time during the event to develop their idea and come up with a pitch.
Each team will pitch their idea to the audience. After the pitches are finished, the audience will vote for the winning team by pledging small donations (via venmo or cash) in the favored team's name to charity combatting hunger. The team that receives the most donations in their name will be the winner.
(All donations will be donated to Leket, an organization combatting hunger in Israel; and Field and Fork, UF's food pantry benefitting students in need.)
The winning team will also win special prizes!
Reminders (TLDR):
- Come with a shark tank team and a small donation amount (under $10 suggested)
- Start brainstorming ideas for products or services that could benefit Israelis and/or promote peace in the region
- Come hungry!
Dinner will be provided.
